This was shot against a black background underwater using a Nikon D3.

The reflections are what anyone sees who looks sideways underwater and are not manipulated in any way. They are always there whether you want them or not and if someone gets too close to the surface they are difficult to crop out.

It is in fact two shots of the same model placed side by side. I habitually use a black backdrop because in the predigital era I liked to compose multiple exposures in the darkroom and as I shot Velvia slide film it was only possible if I had a clean black background. That I now use Photoshop to implement the same technique holds no relevance for me personally.

Some anonymous person on the DA staff has apparently decided that this is not an artistic nude, that is in fact a Miscellaneous Digital Art despite the fact that nothing in it was drawn by hand or computer.

The primary reason that I do not submit high-resolution images to DA is that I do not feel any trust for anonymous staff members who make arbitrary decisions without any consultation.

BTW, all four of the DDs I received (I removed two of them years ago as they were being reposted widely from DA) were produced in the same fashion, as well as all the rest of my images. If you, whoever you are, feel that strongly about it you can relocate them as you see fit.
